Asse’s central defender, Maxime Bernauer, quickly dispelled concerns following an injury in the second friendly match against Troyes. Touched at the thigh, the former player of the Paris FC and the Dinamo Zagreb had initially cast doubt about his physical condition, particularly in a context already worrying due to injuries, notably that of Djyliian N็Guessa. Despite a gesture of pain when leaving the field, Bernauer reassured on social networks, saying that this was nothing serious. This statement was correct, confirmed by his presence in collective training and the lack of specific protocol or special treatment on the part of the medical staff, which favoured caution.
Maxime Bernauer’s arrival this summer from Dinamo Zagreb is seen as a major reinforcement for the defence system in Horneland. The 27-year-old, experienced, versatile and solid defender embodies one of the key recruits of the interseason. His experience and leadership will be particularly valuable in a changing gaming sector, with potential departures from players such as Nadรฉ, Batubinsika and Blaadi. Its rapid return is therefore excellent news for ASSE, which can thus continue its preparation with an almost complete group and a positive dynamic.
The ASSE has an encouraging form with two wins in its first two prep games. The group is now preparing for an internship in Aix-les-Bains from 16 to 25 July, including two important friendly matches: against the Servette Geneva on 18 July and against the Paris FC on 25 July. A prestigious match is also planned on 2 August against Cagliari in Sardinia. The official resumption of competitions is scheduled for August 9, with a dangerous trip to Laval. This intensive preparation aims to ensure a successful season for the Greens, with Bernauer playing a central role in their defensive strategy.
