Le Havre AC purchased by Blue Crow Sports budget uncertainties and challenges

Le Havre AC is on the verge of a major turning point in its history with the finalization of its sale to Blue Crow Sports, an American company based in Houston that already owns several clubs abroad. This acquisition, confirmed by President Vincent Vo The arrival of Blue Crow, which is part of a multi-property strategy with clubs in Spain, Mexico and the Czech Republic, is seen as a breath of oxygen for French football, bringing stability and resources. Blue Crow’s ambitious project aims to pool resources, strengthen the professionalization of sport management and create synergies between clubs to detect, train and value talent.

However, the sale could be challenged. Some minority shareholders consider that the partnership agreement originally concluded in 2015 was not respected and have initiated proceedings to cancel the transaction. This situation, combined with the absence of a DNACG verdict on the club’s budget, could result in a demotion to League 2, or even a second demotion if Le Havre is also sanctioned. This hypothesis, although unlikely, raises concerns about the future of the club and the possibility of a draft of the AS Saint-Étienne.

At the same time, AS Saint-Étienne continues its physical and tactical preparation for the new season. After a preparatory course at Chambon-sur-Lignon, the group focused on a dense programme of work, culminating with a friendly match against ESTAC Troyes on 12 July. This game, broadcast live on ASSE.TV, will be an important test for new recruits and young people at the training centre, allowing the staff to refine automation, strengthen cohesion and integrate new players. The week of preparation focuses on rigour, intensity management and injury prevention, before a second more intense internship in Aix-les-Bains.
