ASSE strengthens its team for the recovery in Ligue 2 and cultivates young talents

AS Saint-Étienne continues its modernization by strengthening its team with the arrival of Romain Quiblier, a young talent passionate about football and visual communication. After six years of sublimating the image of Grenoble Foot 38, he joined the Stéphanois club to take charge of communication and creative content. This appointment reflects the ASSE’s commitment to integrating young dynamic profiles, mastering digital tools while being rooted in the club’s culture. Quiblier, from Saint-Étienne, expresses his pride in returning to his roots and contributing to the revival of the club.

The Stéphanois club is actively preparing for its return to Ligue 2, after a 2024-2025 season in Ligue 1. The team, led by Eirik Horneland, reopened its training centre on 19 June and began an intensive pre-season with two internships and five friendly games. The first game of the season will take place in Laval on August 9, followed by matches against Rodez, Ajaccio and Grenoble. ASSE seeks to replicate its success in previous Ligue 2 experiences, while building on a young and talented staff.

At the same time, the young middle of the field Paul Eymard arouses a growing enthusiasm. Trained in Haute-Loire and already integrated into the professional group at only 17, he is considered a promising player, compared to Paul Pogba for his style and vision of the game. Its potential attracts the attention of major clubs such as Inter Milan, but ASSE is working to convince it to sign its first professional contract. Eymard is perceived as a balanced player, rigorous and passionate, likely to become a pillar of the team and an heir to the talents trained at the club.
