Polomat returns to National 3 the ASSE desencumbers its staff and its reserve is growing

Pierre-Yves Polomat, after a season without a club, continued his career in National 3 with the US Colomiers, a new stage for the 31-year-old defender. His professional career was marked by several seasons at AS Saint-Étienne, punctuated with loans and appearances in the French championship. After an experience in Turkey, he returned to France, notably playing at FC Versailles before an aquitilla injury in 2023 that took him away from the land. This return to National 3 represents a new opportunity for Polomat to revive his career.

At the same time, the AS Saint-Étienne experienced a significant movement of departures in its workforce. Yvann Macoon, right side defender, is about to join the Servette FC in Switzerland, after refusing a Greek offer. His departure, confirmed by the new coach Eirik Horneland, is part of a desire to reduce the strength and salary of the club. Macoon, who played 81 games with the Greens, is expected in Switzerland and ASSE is preparing to recruit a replacement.

Finally, the AS Saint-Étienne reserve is in the testing phase to strengthen its workforce. Three players are currently being tested, including South African offensive media Selwyn Stevens and Senegalese central defender Papa Mamadou Diouf. These tests occur following unanticipated departures in the central defence. Diouf, an international U20 with Senegal, played a friendly match against the AJ Auxerre reserve. ASSE is currently exploring the possibility of offering contracts to these promising players.
