While Olympique Lyonnais’ women’s team is committed to Euro 2025 in Switzerland, another player from the club is playing a major tournament. Tarciande Lima represents Brazil in the Copa América, which takes place in Ecuador. The Brazilian team is in Group B, alongside Paraguay, Colombia, Venezuela and Bolivia. On Monday 14 July, under Arthur Elias, the team won a major victory against Venezuela, with a score of 2-0. Tarcianede Lima then played 30 minutes.

On Wednesday, Brazil faced Bolivia for its second Copa América match. Indisputable holder, Tarcianede Lima played the whole match and contributed significantly to the wide victory of his team, 6-0. This victory against Bolivia marks Brazil’s second victory in this competition, and the Seleção aims to win its 9th title in 10 editions of the Copa América. The first two teams in each group qualify for the semifinals, and Brazil could already qualify if it won its third game against Paraguay next Wednesday.
