Juventus targets talented Beraldo competitive challenge Ligue 1

The Juventus of Turin continues its recruitment to League 1, following a strategy already implemented with the free arrival of Jonathan David and negotiations around the transfers of Randal Kolo Muani and Edon Zhegrova. At present, the Italian club is looking at Lucas Beraldo, a central defender in Paris Saint-Germain, with the aim of strengthening his defensive line, particularly with a view to a possible three-party defence training. According to information from the Gazzetta dello Sport, this track is not without competition, as other European clubs have also shown their interest in the player.

Juventus’ interest in Lucas Beraldo comes despite the presence of Illia Zabarnyi, a player already integrated into Luis Enrique’s group and considered a direct competitor for the position of central defender. Despite this competition, Beraldo does not seem willing to leave the PSG. The 21-year-old Brazilian was recruited in the winter of 2024 for 20 million euros and managed to win in the team, taking part in 38 games all over the competition last season, including a goal scored during the win against Toulouse in November.

The Juventus acquisition of Lucas Beraldo will not be easy, given the interest of other clubs and the player’s willingness to stay at the PSG. The Old Lady will therefore have to face significant competition to seize her services. This approach is part of a recruitment policy focused on the talents of Ligue 1, which seems to be a priority for the Juventus as part of its expansion. The outcome of this negotiation remains uncertain, but it reflects the Juventus’ growing interest in French players.
